Enjoy Unreal Tournament 3 in an advanced shoreline defense station.
Design Summary
"Avenger Battery 22" is a class assignment to re-make the Quake III map "Longest Yard". To put my stamp on the levels layout I alternated the flow, slightly increased the size, and added an additional layer of verticality. To bring the station to life, various movers indicate the activation of a defense gun that shoots at guerrilla forces located across a river.

Design Goal: Successfully Alternate the Flow of the Map
The original design of the "Longest Yard" showed great promise in making a fantastic map. I had only two objections with the layout.
- The original dimensions could lead to the Impact Hammer being overpowered in UT3
- A standalone island overlooking the entire map with a sniper rifle could prove frustrating for players
Design Goal: Script an Active Defense Station
"Avenger Battery 22" features an active defense station that shoots at guerrilla forces who are fighting one another in a jungle setting. As the station prepares to fire, generators spin with increased speed within the station as a massive shield rises, making way for the gun to shoot. The overall effect helps bring the station to life and increases immersion.
